Application Process
PRESCHOOL REGISTRATION 2024-2025
Thank you for your interest in our school. We hope that the information on our website is helpful. If you wish to enroll your child at Happy Time Nursery Co-op, please follow the procedures as outlined below. Our Enrollment Process is as follows:
Registration date is held in April or May during the year. Please attend (date will be posted closer to) to fill out all the necessary paperwork in your vehicle. Registration dates will be advertised in the Beausejour Clipper Newspaper, Beausejour Facebook Page, HTNC website (happytimenursery.com), and registration posters will be advertised in various Beausejour businesses.
HTNC offers twice a day, Monday through Thursday, pre-school classes for 3-year and 4-year old children. 4 year old classes are Monday & Wednesday morning OR afternoon, and 3 year old classes are Tuesday & Thursday morning OR afternoon. Each class is 2.5 hours long. Morning classes begin at 8:50 am and end at 11:25 am. Afternoon classes begin at 12:35 pm and end at 3:10 pm. Each child will be assigned a drop off and pick time. Each child MUST be fully potty trained, be in underwear and be able to use the washroom independently. (Teachers will assist when needed).
Parents/guardians will receive an email with our annual Orientation newsletter providing information regarding their child’s start date mid August. Meeting our teachers, and introducing your child to our Nursery School will take place in the beginning of September before school starts. A meet & greet letter will be mailed or emailed mid August to parents/guardians.

Registration Fee Options:
There are a total of 75 classes for the 3 year old and 4 year old groups. Beginning on April 2, 2023, Manitoba will reduce the regulated parent fees announced by the Government. The new regulated fee is $5.00 per class effective April 2, 2023. An annual administration fee of $20/family will be collected at the time of registration. This holds the space for your child for the school year. This fee is non-refundable. A one time Cooperative fee of $5/family (only if you are a new member) will also be collected at the time of registration (may be paid with cash or cheque).
There are 4 payment options:
Full Payment at time of registration. Can be made by cheque, cash or E-Transfer
* 75 x $5.00 = $375.00
Installments: 2 equal payments made by postdated cheque or e-transfer. Payments due 1st of the month, September, & February.
* 75 x $5.00 = $375.00 / 2 payments = $187.50/payment
Monthly preauthorized debit (PAD) from your bank. A form is available in the registration package. Please bring a voided cheque to gather your account number & transit number.
* 75 x $5.00 = $375.00 / 10 months = $37.50/month
10 post dated cheques, dated the 1st of each month (September - June). All MUST be handed in at registration.
